Eligibility

To be eligible for Transitional Kinder, students must fall within the birthdate range in the table below and the student must be a resident of Lawndale.

Acceptance is based on meeting the eligibility requirements and space. If you are outside of Lawndale, please contact our district for more information on the permit process.

School Year	Birthdate Range
2024-25	Students whose birthdate falls between September 2, 2019 and June 2, 2020
2025-26	Students whose birthdate falls between September 2, 2020 and September 1, 2021

 

If classes are full, Lawndale will add your child to the waitlist.  If you are looking for another opportunity to enroll your child in an early childhood education program, you may be eligible for our State Preschool or our LEAP Peer Partner program!
