Enrollment
The last day to enroll for our 2025-2026 school year will be at the end of March. Enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year will begin during the spring. More information and dates will be shared soon.
Enrollment packets are available at the preschool office (3530 W 147th St, Hawthorne, 90250) or at the Lawndale elementary schools (Anderson, Green, Roosevelt, Smith, and Twain). Once the packet is completed and all required paperwork is acquired, please call to make an appointment.

Eligibility
Age
Our preschool program is available to children ages 2-5 and whose families qualify under the Department of Education.
Birthday Date Requirements
- 3rd birthday must fall on or before Dec. 1st or after 3rd birthday
- 4th birthday must fall on or before Dec. 1st or after 4th birthday
- 5th birthday must fall between Sept. 2nd and Aug. 31st
Income Requirements
There is no income ceiling if you reside within Lawndale and your homeschool is Anderson, Carson, Green, or Mitchell (qualify under the Neighborhood School Eligibility). Out of district residents must qualify under the Department of Education income eligibility guidelines based on family size and family income. Acceptance is based on the place of residency, income requirements and space. Please refer to the income ceilings table below.
California State Preschool program free or reduced-price meal eligibility criteria (CSPP FRPM) are:
- Meet income eligibility if you reside outside of our district
- Child must attend their home school
- Schools eligible for FRPM are Anderson, Carson, Green, and Mitchell
